If you want to be mad, angry or upset, look at the worst signing in the last 7 years. Heyward is a bust. Arrieta resigning is another. We will rise again. Go Cubs.  As a Cubs fan it’s heartbreaking to see these fan favorites go. But on the other hand the Office proved what they did worked once.

Before I spend another dime on Cubs merchandise and use my currency to renew my subscription to their network, I need to see the hunger in a quick rebuild with the big pockets they now have. Not to mention you got severely fleeced of the team’s best prospects. .  Good job!  They were all going to walk so he got something for them before they did.  This is a business, and Jed did the right thing.  You can’t keep throwing money at aging players.  Sentimental feelings win nothing. Took guts to make those moves. Players were offered contracts but turned them down.  It was a great job! They were all free agents and better to look forward to the future.
