I don’t know what the exact reason or cause of the wreck was umbut he was in a wreck. I want to say it was 97. and the car went upside down scraped across the roof here it was all.

I think Jeff Gordon won that year. so i want to say that’s why i want to say it with 97 um even though he didn’t win this car and the story behind it the fact that the driver flipped on the racetrack brought it back to. pit road put tires on it and then finished the race is legendary this is the stuff legends are made of. and i am really disappointed I didn’t get to ever see this when it happened but let’s go ahead and take a look at the diecast so down the left side we have got the uh fenders and everything over here. wipe that fingerprint off oh there you see it’s kind of bent up there. you can see the hood’s bent pushed back uh the number three you can see is all scraped up for when it goes up on its side getting scratched to crap. I got Dale Earnhardt on the name rails but that’s also scratched up over here. You can see on the roof the three are scratched and the roof laps are scraped up here. uh you go to the left the further left or the further back on the left side see the scrapes around the wheel.

I got this for a 30 somebody was selling a bunch of cars and said uh 30 bucks will work for iti was absolutely going to take a hi. take a chance on that so 29.90 is the um the din number there you can see the right side. it’s all scraped up herethat’s from either being in the wall or being on his side now. you can see again this is hanging down so this is where there’s some contact there got. good wrench service got the number three there with a couple more scratches um go further towards the front we are missing the right front corner completely look at that completely gone remind you of a dale jr martinsville card allbut um yes so that is completely missing the engine detail is in there um but you can’t actually open the hood because of the way they had to shape the mold so for the body so you can see the radiator and some of the engine detail. and that’s it because you can’t actually get the hood open speaking of the hood you can see right there it is scratched up all over on the front of the hood and then it’s all bent to.

There’s nothing about this car that’s not scratched and the best part about this entire thing is that this car finished the race it. itit was one of those things i never understood the crash car because when i first saw the crash car i figured why would you make a crash car of 2001.. like i didn’t understand it you know. i’m like 13 years old and didn’t start watching nascar until 2004. and i always saw the dale jr crash car uh or not the dale jr the dale earnhardt crash car diecast and i kept thinking to myself. gosh why would you want that. and it was until later when I finally got to hear the actual story on this car and the fact that it was 1997 and he finished the race on the lead lap in this carthis is not the the bad car. so um anyway that was just something that i once i’d learned the story of this. i thought this was really cool it’s it. literally is a story in a die cast here so it’s definitely a cool one. I’m glad i finally got around to getting this video donei kind of Vintage Dale Earnhardt Shirt, In Memory Of Dale Earnhardt with Signature February 18 2021 Shirt had a clean desk because i got a bunch of new ones coming in so this one i get to get out before some of the new ones come in um. but it’s definitely a very unique one i’m glad i have in my collection. and i didn’t have to spend a fortune to get it you know, missing a box if you don’t know me.
