Do vegan mothers (who are raising vegan children) breast feed? I always wondered that.I wonder if she gave him some soy concoction. Poor kid. She was not feeding him enough, she almost killed him. No baby should be on any type of diet at all. Feed the baby what the baby needs to thrive not what the parent thinks think he or she needs. Poor baby,I understand she wanted to eat this way but she could have took the baby to the hospital ,prayers for the baby and family.

It enrages me that people can allow their own extreme and unfounded beliefs impact on the health of their child. I cannot believe there are people in here actually defending vegan diets for a child that young – or any child for that matter.

It is not healthy – you cannot survive in a vegan diet without copious amounts of supplements children do not understand this and simply do not get enough nutrition from this type of diet. Humans needs meat, dairy, grains, eggs, fruit, and veg. And from a dietitians standpoint- so many read total crap in a magazine and think they know more than trained professionals.

As for the rest whom were around that baby & were cognitive enough to state that the mother, ‘was obsessed with following an extreme vegan diet’??? There as guilty, If not more guilty, than the mother herself.

It’s a good thing he did, at least take his baby to the hospital.. But shame on him for neglecting his sons welfare for the previous A Little Deepak A Little Tupac Shirt, Hoodie, Sweater months of his baby boys life..Only fruit and nuts is not a real vegan diet.
