When he talked about the NFL. This is How Americans Take a Knee Shirt about free speech in the NFL, but what speech is allowed and who is allowed to express it. Protesters take a knee in front of the St Louis police department following a weekend which saw pro- football players also take a knee before the National Anthem.
Albertans can rest assured that when it comes to defending our industries and interests, I will never take a knee. Bill Russell took aknee with the Presidential Medal of Freedom on his neck: “Proud to take a knee, and to stand tall against social injustice.” President Trump’s demand that NFL owners fire players who kneel during the national anthem set off protests by NFL players, coaches and owners. This is not the first time athletes have used their platf.
Well there is some good new. The man was right, it’s not a black issue, it’s not a white issue. It is an issue about the insanity and lock step of the radical left that is now the mainstream democrat party. Please, just stay on your knees!
This is How Americans Take a Knee Shirt, Hoodie, Longsleeve T-Shirt
I’m an American veteran and military retiree. I am not offended that Colin Kaepernick and others take a knee during the national anthem. Just because standing during the anthem is our tradition does not mean that This is How Americans Take a Knee Shirt in peaceful protest is disrespectful. I served to defend the Constitution of the United States, not a symbolic piece of cloth. Kaepernick and others are exercising their rights under the Constitution in a way that is very American, in a country that was literally born from the protest of tyranny. Kaepernick is demonstrating his patriotism by making very real sacrifices for his country, and real patriots would defend him.
What DOES offend me is the fact that a man has to take a knee and sacrifice his career to draw attention to the racism and social injustice in this country. That is the real travesty here.
During my grandson’s football game last weekend, one of the opposing team’s players was injured. The coaches on my grandson’s team told the players to take a knee, which is what they did until the injured player was taken care of. That’s what respect looks like. Many of our fellow countrymen are injured or in peril right now. Maybe we all should be taking a knee until they are taken care of. We need to get our priorities straight. The flag should never become more important than the people it represents, nor should it be used to suppress individual rights and freedoms. There can be no peace without justice. Nobody is free until everyone is free.
