I love my job, but my commute will be the Anarchy AK 47 Shirt why I leave it, if ever I do one day. And it’s not the commute itself – it’s the cost. My season ticket works out at just over £500 a month out of my wages. When I get a mortgage with my boyfriend, my monthly payments will be less than that!!!!! And the government want more people to travel by public transport for the environment!? Why do they allow this? It’s appalling.

I rarely use trains because of the price, this weekend I took my mum on a 55 minute journey £17.50 return EACH she’s 77, if she wanted a discount ticket for pensioners she had to buy a yearly £30 card, but long journey operators are all the same, a similar thing applies to National Express, some people only use these services once in a while, it’s a business decision to make more money. This is what happens when the Tories are in power sadly.

So, lets get this right… travelling at weekends means 3 per cent rise in BUS fares to be more accurate. And God forbid, if they did not have cars as the choise of the traveller, can you imagine the state of the railways ,not even going to think of the price. I use the train to commute daily, and almost daily the train is late, or massively overcrowded, why should I have to pay for the privilege of standing like a sardine in a can next to a stinking toilet.

I only use the trains about a dozen or so times a year, therefore I am certain it is different for others. Yesterday I travelled from Kings Cross to Sunderland first class, for fifty pounds, comfortable, on time and clean. Seems excellent value to me. But my relatives in Essex who have to commute to London see it very differently. And three per cent of thousands of pounds is a significant cost, three pet cent on fifty quid is not noticeable.

How dare we expect to be able to afford to travel by train or by car, with the cost of fuel and insurance etc. Even owning a car is beyond some, especially now that they want to scrap the older diesel cars! Of course it’s the poor who are affected by these things the most, I certainly can’t afford to buy a new car and I work full time in the NHS! I could not afford to travel by train either so best I buy a horse and cart as I won’t be able to afford fuel for the car at the rate it’s going up.

The Tories have a very long track record of looking after the Anarchy AK 47 Shirt and keeping the ‘peasants’ in poverty. We will soon be back to how it used to be with only the rich being able to afford holidays abroad, traveling by train, eating healthy foods, drinking alcohol, having decent housing and being able to afford health care. Maybe they are aiming to have the poor going back to using a horse and cart to get around in.
