I’m not giving it a second thought to go on our cruise during school . Going with family on vacation will be a memory that will last a lifetime and that’s definitely not something you get in a classroom . Years ago I wouldn’t approve doing this but with what is being taught or more importantly what is not being taught in schools today, I tend to agree with the dad.

And he didn’t go on a tirade nor did he ask the school to reverse the absenteeism of his children. Tell him to take a jump off a cliffs. Dead beat. That is. What is wrong with some of our children. They don’t where they fit into a world of both parents working.

The principal can set and spin hurray dad. Great job. So sad our schools are coming to this. For 12 years, we took a family vacation during the schol year. Our parents asked our teachers for the scheduled lessons in each class, and then mom and dadasigned us each a report to be completed by thime we returned for a presentation before the class- no extra credit, just education!

We would spend a portion of every day on lessons, a portion on learning great new things, and a paortion just having fun. My brother and I both graduated from high school and college with honors!!!! Of course this was40- 55 years ago..

Before standardized testing,limited curriculum, you know when teachrs were actually able to to teach and encourage kids to really learn!!! About time someone teach are kids then Batman Hello Darkness My Old Friend Shirt are kids. They are not even getting the education they need in everyday life.
