The rescue seems to clean to me. If the Taliban let this family go, it’s probably because they (or at least the father) have been indoctrinated and have been assigned a some kind of mission to carry out for their cause. If not, then his butt would have been on the first plane to anywhere else. Makes a lot more sense than the guy & his pregnant wife randomly hiking in a war zone & continuing to have babies.. the entire story from start to finish is off.  Only other thing I can think is they is that they are spies and refusing to leave w the US was part of their cover.. spies or infidels.. can’t understand how anything else would make sense.. unless I’m missing something.
