So you don’t believe the Institute of Fiscal Studies who say that Labour have a black hole in their Beer Designated Drinker Shirt? There will still be people working for the NHS but the numbers will be cut. The austerity you talk about comes from Labour’s last term in power. Nothing to do with the global crash of 2007. Brown let rip with the credit card to the tune of £170 billion in 2009-2010. When he walked out of Downing Street there was no money left. You do realise what a bad economy can do for a Beer Designated Drinker Shirt I hope. If not, take a look at Greece.

The IFS found good and bad points in both the Labour and Conservative manifestos. 126 economists and economics professors wrote a letter in the guardian pleading with voters not to vote Tory. Working in the NHS is hell right now and it’s all thanks to the Tories. We were running at a surplus in 2010, now every single trust is in deficit. Labour may not be perfect and we may have work to do, but it’s better than voting Conservative and losing the NHS as we know it, which is what they plan to do.

The austerity brought about by the Tories was to ‘balance the books’ after the financial crash. The financial crash had nothing to do with Labour. Vote for whoever you think represents you most via their policies. If that’s truly the Conservatives then please just remember that NHS staff warned you what would happen when it collapses.

Carol-Ann, you seem to find everything I say hilarious. If you did my job you wouldn’t be laughing, people dying isn’t funny… it hurts me that we provide a service to the public and care so much about you all, we’re the ones that are there when the worst happens, when you call 999 distraught, it’s us that help you and yet people laugh when we tell you how bad things are. I’ve never cried so much as I’ve done these last few years and I don’t know how much longer I can keep doing it. All I’m asking people to do is think before they vote.

There may be management issues, consultants deserve the money they receive however. Imagine being responsible for every patient in an emergency department, highest skilled person there, they deserve to be paid for the years of study they’ve done to get there. We troops on the ground do indeed work really hard, but the Conservatives have capped our pay for 7 years and reduced funding so much that the NHS is now surviving on the good will of staff.

If you are in your 30s then you don’t remember 1976 when youth unemployment rose and we had to go cap in hand to the IMF. We wouldn’t be in this mess if it hadn’t been for Labour and they have done it time and time again when they have been in no. 10. Each country’s economy is what makes the world go round. You cannot rely on corporations staying in the Beer Designated Drinker Shirt to pay for the NHS if you are going to hike up corporation tax. They will go elsewhere, like across the water to Ireland where they can pay 12.5% instead of Corbyn’s 26%. That is how he wants to fund the NHS, its a massive risk.
