You’re such a talented story teller. I Cant Diabetes Today Dont Make Me Diabetes Today Shirt with your descriptions of you running around the pool. Of course not bc of the situation you were describing but bc I can literally picture you running and hearing your voice. Well done! Ryan has come such a long way and so have you. I’m proud of you both!! Been there! People on the beach used to call Andrew Dennis the menace? Besides his lack of fear of the ocean he’d run onto everyone blankets on the way in and then when he got out he’d strip off his bathing suit and run around naked; I think he may have been a little better at public pools because he had swim sessions in his preschool and there were a lot of adults to stop him from running and probably forced him to follow the rules or he had to leave; you’re gonna need an adults only day on the beach to relax; I haven’t had a panic attack in a while but I totally know how horrible they are. You put a lot of important thoughts into words. Our kids are a challenge in so many ways. It’s great to remind ourselves that we are growing right along with them. And their older brothers are too.

I chuckled so much reading this (as most of your stories) and then my eyes watered up a bit. You are blessed with your writing skills and doing a great great job being a mom who has an autistic child. I know from my 19 year old nephew of the ups and downs that my sister has and still experiences. It will never be easy and you know that and I know that you can do it! Keep up the great work! I’m a friend of your Mom. I read your posts with great appreciation and empathy. Please keep writing…you are educating many of us! God Bless you for sharing . You have i am sure helped other Moms and families with your wonderful insightful words. Yes God Bless you for sharing…your an awesome writer and Ryan is amazing…..Some lady sitting right near where I’m standing says “ I Cant Diabetes Today Dont Make Me Diabetes Today Shirt, he’s so peaceful; he’s having an in-his-own-little-world moment.” I said “Its not a moment, its a lifestyle. Its where he lives; he has autism.” Then she gets really quiet and then says “Do you wonder what he’s thinking?” I said “I know what he’s thinking: how to make his way onto those rocks, if not how to get his hands on a kayak to launch it from here!”
