And wear a seatbelt?! Terrible loss! Both would probably be alive if they just buckled up. I worked as a paramedic for ten years back in the eighties. I also worked as an er nurse for many years . The dead people were always the unbuckled ones. In fact . I never encountered a fatality in all that time of someone wearing a seatbelt. The cause of death is often the unbuckled person being ejected from the vehicle , or else bouncing around inside like a pinball.  This could have been prevented.

The legal system treats dui offenders like sports fishermen on catch and release. The highways are inundated with drivers under influence with multiple dui’s already. This is criminal!!! So father kills son because he couldn’t call a cab..or better yet stay home to drink … Sad .. Now the family has to deal with two losses, one being the cause of both deaths .. How tragic.

My father was killed by a drunk driver but it was only sheer luck that he had not killed someone himself, as he had driven drunk to the spot in which he was killed this father in this story had previous dui’s and was still driving. He ended up killing his own son who was ad they didn’t hurt another family in this story.

There just isn’t any reason at all, to drink and drive, and i don’t understand why it’s such a hard thing for people to comprehend! Regardless of who was drinking and not wearing seatbelts, this is extremely sad:( there’s a family out there broken having lost not one but two members. Condolences to the family. Now that being said we all know drinking and driving is against the law.

It is also law to wear a seatbelt at least here it is…. Soo well…  I don’t understand people who drink and drive. Accidents not only affect the injured party but also many of their friends and loved ones. My sympathies go out to them. This is a great result. Well done to all the search and rescue professionals and any volunteers involved. Australians always help when others are in need. To the This Is My Christmas Pajama Shirt making nasty comments blaming the hikers, give it a rest. This could happen to anyone.
