Which is what they say every time, yet we still have a terrible track record for cancelled or delayed trains that resemble sheds on wheels up in the North of England. Not to mention the Couple Owl Shirt on the trains that do show up. This is actually an argument that has no relation to the EU referendum, so that’s an invalid argument.

Great way to get us off the roads and into public transport. For most journeys, as soon as there is more than one person travelling, car becomes a cheaper option. The train is quick, clean and convenient. But only for the businessman expensing it or the single person travelling alone. Yes railcards make a difference, but not enough of one. Almost and journey will be cheaper in a car for a family. The fares will rise at least another two times through 2018.

In England, the transport minister scaled back on all the rail electrification schemes, except the two routes into his constituency, Blackpool! The most pathetic cutback was cancelling the electrification of a simple branch on the Lakes Line through to Windermere! All these upgrade cancellations plus a hike on fare tickets. The only thing worse than a train journey is thr cost of it. No thanks. I rarely ever use a train, for that reason alone.

Their taking the piss its a license to print money and price the average working person off of trains southern trains need their franchise taking away I was going to say its a joke. But jokes are funny. They are stealing peopled money for a atrocious service. On a recent visit back home to the UK, I paid 110 pound for a return trip from Gatwick to Yeovil. In six hours of travel I never once managed to get a seat. Rail travel in the UK is third World standard.

I love my job, but my commute will be the reason why I leave it, if ever I do one day. And it’s not the commute itself – it’s the cost. My season ticket works out at just over £500 a month out of my wages. When I get a mortgage with my boyfriend, my monthly payments will be less than that!!!!! And the government want more people to travel by public transport for the environment!? Why do they allow this? It’s appalling.

I only need to get to Kings cross and back but it’s cheaper to buy a ticket for all zones than to get one just to kings cross.
