I’m sure it is the end of 27 year run of violation after violation of citizens rights, abuse of power, and illegal behavior. I also am sure his authority knew there was a problem. I hope he is held legally and finically responsible. Just as any nurse would be if we had violated a patients rights. Many professions exist because society has deemed them essential to the society. Law enforcement and nurse both fall with in this societal requirement. We are held to a higher ethical, legal and professional standard.

All those cops who complacently stood by and watched should be fired as well. Police who do not uphold the law and Break the Law… are no longer protecting and serving they are armed assailants. Plummer vs State allows civilians to defend and protect themselves from the illegal use of force by police period. that badge doesn’t make cops morally superior or right… it’s an authoritarian power play. This Is Why Our 2nd Amendment Exists to protect us from the Government Overstepping and Violating Civil Liberties.

Why have officers under something if you don’t inform them of the laws that apply to that department? It reflects more on the US police department than it does on the officer. Unfortunately there are a great number of men and women who ware the uniform and think they can do what they like , forgetting that they are public servants, these morons should never b in the police force. Glad to hear that criminal lost his job well over due . However when will charges be pressed ? Last I looked at least in Michigan. Carrying a firearm is legal however, if you are committing a crime then you are now breaking gun laws and him being in a hospital while committing a crime while carrying a firearm then certain felony charges come into play.. when will these charges be pressed ?

OK i saw the comments, i am glad he got fired, but the nurse should get some sort of compensation, because she was very traumatized at that day knowing that she didn’t do anything wrong, Of course the officer should have been fired. Even if the nurse drew the blood the court would throw it out as evidence because the officer didn’t have a warrant. As a not US citizens I too often read and see that the US internal problems also r criminalcops, making and implementing their own laws.who will clean that mess?

I never understood why the Nurse threw such a hissy fit. She knew she was right. All that had to be done was a co-worker call the Admin tell them the situation and it would have been handled quietly and diplomatically. More than likely the police man would have received a citation. There would have been no mark on Dark Night Of The Scarecrow Shirt and the police man would still have his job & be a bit wiser for it. Cops that do worse are promoted. Double standards here. He should not be fired if cops can kill unarmed people and get away with it.
