So glad to see this survives. awesome interview with some very funny moments. Ah! Back in the days when television was something to watch. Didn’t Tom Snyder chain smoke throughout his entire program? I had a career in the television industry as a writer/producer for many years. Dear Santa All I Want For Ugly Christmas Is A Cat Sweater. I knew at age 5 I was going to grow up and make television shows. Never had a plan B just in case it didn’t work out for me either. How is it that I went to work for ABC-Denver the day after graduation? I worked my ass off that’s how.

Plus I think I was also extremely clear in my telling the universe just what it was I wanted. But had I seen this cable thing coming and had some kind of a heads up people would be just fine watching other people play poker on tv I may not have been stressed out over choosing a career which there were only 3 companies I could possibly work for. I now work with 3 year olds. They are way more interesting than any “talent” on tv today. I can’t even begin to imagine a program such as this one airing today.
Watching Bruce Jenner become a girl is the best we can hope for. I’ve pretty much stopped watching tv making an exception with the golden globes and well you know what I thought about that show. Why am I telling you all of this? Beats me – but hey-you’re beautiful don’t ever change. Have your people call my people and baby let’s do lunch sometime..Great interview I believe they were all dosed. I remember that run at the Warfield I believe they played 15 shows during that span I only missed three of them.

But what was really cool I got in the show for free one night, actually I had to work to get in. My friend Paul Marching #mole got me on a list to usher for the show since the venue was all reserved seats they wanted people there to help people find their seats. You would arrive before the doors open, there was a dress code I add to wear a vest each night it was something different. Since you got in early you got to hear the sound check each night! After the first song of the second set you were done go enjoy the concert!
Not sure or don’t remember how Mole pulled this off, but he was well known by Bill Graham and his staff, he did the same for Dan Maddux, Eldon Porray, and others. In the liner notes of Reckoning and Dead Set they thank the S.F.I.A.S.T.E. and the same for NY except N.Y. Instead of S.F. I forget what they mean but I know it’s for and thanking the ushers, Hell I do that for every show thanks again Mole those were great times!! I miss Tom Snyders’ show! I watched every night pretty much, I could.
If you recall, he was somewhat in love w/ Wendy O Williams of the Plasmatics. Dear Santa All I Want For Ugly Christmas Is A Cat Sweater. I remember she made several appearances on his show where she smashed television sets and once on the show, a car(I cannot remember what year , make and model)!Saw the GD for the first time during their run at the Colosseum when the Beastie Boys opened for them. Walked out after 10 minutes of the Dead. Too much noodling for me and went for the BBoys anyway…Robert Sheedy no joke. I was a Chicago/Austin blues guy with Rolling Stones dirty style Rock and Roll. GD was an extremely talented ensemble just not my deal. Cheers..First time I did acid it was some good stuff.
