He’s simply saying that our foreign policies are violent and repeatedly have the effect of creating more violence that we have to deal with. But the fact that our national pride makes us unable to look at what we do and learn what the consequences are. Essentially we attack other countries for assets and power, while pretending we are the world police, and further pretend that is a good thing, and pretend that we are worthy of that role.

My daughter and I have been looking into getting a hamster, and none of the information we have come across mentioned anything about them going into hibernation. I also had several hamsters as a child, who all lived to almost three years old, and they never went into hibernation. This is news to me, and glad to have been made aware of it. That was my first thought. However even though I know this information the pets at home store we brought her from, didn’t tell us this information.

And maybe for the sake of hamsters should put this in their information booklets and to new hamster buyer. Sorry Carolyn Reed children are not legally allowed to own an animal until they are 16. It’s a parents responsibility to make sure any animal in their home is cared for. Yes by all means buy a child a hamster but make sure not only the child but also the parents do research about the care etc of them before committing to one. This goes for any pet.

Mine did that when his cage was near a cold window. We warmed him up with a hairdryer and voilà, he was soon back to normal a d lived another year (with his cage moved to a warmer spot).
