I read once that helping someone you love deal with dying is the most difficult thing to do because you are dying too, with every struggle they go through, you experience it too…i helped my mom through dementia until death. The weight of how you feel, against what you have to do, against how little you feel you are accomplishing is crushing hard. If it weren’t for love, there’d be nothing.

I’m happy to report, in retrospect, the pain i went through was worth it. My mother passed away last september from this awful, ugly disease. I took care of my mom for years before she had to be placed in a nursing home. You don’t realize how strong you are until it’s your only option. I miss her so.

I have not experienced this and pray i never have to with anyone or myself, but thank you joey for sharing your video. I cried seeing how loving you are to her and i thank you for being that way with her. She is blessed to have you there. Seeing you do things with her and love her made me so happy.

I lost my mother in 2014 of a massive heart attack and it was a shock to us all. Love, caring and patience for others is needed. I’m a nurturing type person, always wanting to help those that cannot help themselves. God bless you joey daley for the patient love you have shown for your mom.

Is your mother being treated correctly? My brother- in- law came down with dementia 2 years ago. He is 65. His doctor gave him a new medication and his brain works normally with no dementia 90% of each day. My mom also just passed. We had the best of care for her, but Don’t Judge A Book By Its Film Adaptation Shirt was never enough. Such a sad way for a life to end. She was loved by so many!
