I’m no expert, Doom Is Coming Shirt but maybe he could have gotten the part that’s not moving much and pulled it in. I’m not being sarcastic, I literally don’t know if that would be an option because I’m not a fire fighter, but that’s what I would have done. People please! The negativeness of some of you is totally horrible. Seems these guys were having fun while training.All work and no play makes you a very boring person.Why not have fun at “TRAINING”? This looks like a recruit in the fire academy.

You have to learn how to handle a runaway. Sometimes you have to advance the hose by yourself and there is the risk of stumble and fall. There are times when the pump operator can’t see they guy on the end of the hose. Training for this situation will prove useful later.  I remember the first course I took in 1984. We did the same drill. Today we see the dangers, then we had a ball doing it. Oh, and now we don’t play with mercury anymore. Times change, it was still fun…. Had two girl’s lived in a large house that was overv100 years old.

Put water and soap on floor the girls put their swimsuit”s on and cleaned the floor by sliding back and forth accross it. The highlight of their day.  I recall doing the wild hose drill in fire college and our training Lt s pumped UP the pressure nearly taking out 3 people until they realized the big guys were having trouble, but we were taught to crawl up the hose until we got it. Some of our Lt s should have been fired!  I really don’t think they have anything on the end of that hosesection, the cup link is hooked to that section and if there was another one or a nozzle attached i think you would be able to hear it smashing off of the pavement but that is just my opinion by my observation.

Shut the pump down and he has no protection plus if you loose your hose in a structure fire the engineer at the pump panel can’t see it flopping around you have to know how to recover a hose and before all of you people call for a training officer to be fired spend some time as a first responder I spent 7 years as one This is more dangerous than you think. One of the firefighters I work with crawled up the hose and was struck in the face by the hose. It shattered his face shield and did permanent damage to one of his eyes.

I’ll bet these firefighters don’t wear their seat belts either. They are idiots wearing the clothes of real firefighters. when they have a fully engulfed fire they should put a few hoses on every level and just turn them on and let it spray away!!! just kidding….. but it would be funny if it worked!!!! new way to fight fires! Hose crawls are part of training I feel sorry for all you haters out there and until you have packed a 3 inch hose bed on an engine to have your training officer tell you you’ve missed a gasket between hoses and to do it again wet cold and in the dark, you know nothing.

Nothing funny about an unmanned, Doom Is Coming Shirt charged fire hosewhipping around and “Mr. Chuckles” sitting on his ass videoing instead of securing the water…I suppose this was training, but even so if you’re not training and sitting around laughing, you’re not helping. Brass fire nozzles can split your head open. The outlet of hose might have moped his skin flesh . Always stop water pumping .. in extreme emergency fold the hose once in a safe distance to reduce the force and approach.
