Everyone has their own viewpoint and each is as valid as the Easily Distracted By Alcohol Shirt. I look at all the information, take everything in the media with a pinch of salt however, for me Corbyns policies are so over the top and unrealistic – all the tax increases will damage the economy and without a healthy economy living standards across the board will fall and the effect of that is job losses and more poverty. Labour will never be able to raise the kind of money they have pledged and I don’t feel they will be strong enough to deal.

That’s fair enough Karen and if I believed those things I’m sure I would feel the same. Theresa May is disliked within the EU, so far her meetings with them regarding Brexit have been disastrous and her performance in pm’s questions each week has been awful and exposed her contempt for the general population.

The tax increases are really reasonable. 95% of the population will not pay any more tax, only those earning over 80,000, which is the top 5% of the country. Even for those at the bottom of that scale, there isn’t a large increase and watching to decide whether to stay or go this could just force their hand – I hope the country decides not to take that chance.

Whatever happens we will still be here doing what we do as well as we can. Of course under the conservatives those lower earners will receive a tax break in the form of an increase in personal allowance – rather than a probable large increase in council tax suggested by labour. Corporation tax will make a difference as there is to be an increase in the level of tax which applies now and with Brexit and companies waiting.

They’re ruining the economy and ruining our public services while they’re at it. So, if you can’t vote Labour, at least consider not voting for the Conservatives, unless of course, you agree with them in which case do what you must. I hope the future works out well for both of us, whatever happens.

The other thing that convinces me that these policies can work is that they are completely normal mainstream policies across Scandinavia. If it can work elsewhere it can work here. Not to mention that Keynesian methods worked to get the US out of the Great Depression, so they could just as easily work now. The good things that Labour offers are not my main reason for voting for them though, the main reason is the threat the Tories pose to this country. They’ve significantly grown the national debt. It now stands at 1.8 trillion which from memory is an increase of about 800 billion in the last Easily Distracted By Alcohol Shirt.
