One of the things I can remember during my four years aboard the USS Jason ARH1 (Easily Distracted By Tractor Ugly Christmas Sweater) was having the privilege when at sea to raise and lower the flag of our nation. At sea with a large flag, hoisting can at times be a little difficult but the beauty of seeing the star spangled banner waving in the breeze can take your breath with its beauty and the glory of our nation it represents. Thank you to all my friends I had the honor of serving with personally and to all those from before me and currently serving, have a great one and be safe out there.
