The three killers are waiting to kill him.This perturbs him not at all because it is time now to say good bye to life there was a time when he used to be a great pugilist .All have to bow out of life when time comes .We cannot challenge our Trinity-Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh-They kill us for their sport.Like Shylock, our life is humoured at by Government. In Lear Cordelia, amongst her sisters is good, as is Edgar the good son versus his bad brother. You seem to be very stupid and I’m not exonerating Shakespeare her at all. In what sense does anything I say about this play coincide with the false notion that ‘you reap what you sow’? From my view, shylock is indeed the merchant of venice snd not antonio. Genius play, had to archive the movie soon after it was no longer available.  I Like The Drammatic Irony That Shakespeare Used In This Play, Where We See Shylock With His Obession Of Getting His Pound Of Flesh From Antonio Just To Get His Revenge Being Turned Against Him Instead. Shylock is a usurer and lives on the interest of moneys lent.

It is Christian persecution that forced him to live by these means. But if he appears inhuman and revengeful, is it not the Christian that has made him so ? Antonio railed at him for his usury , called him a dog , spat upon his Jewish gaberdine. So , Shylock returns hate for hate ; there is nothing unnatural about him. Now if the same Antonio who has mocked at him , scorned his nation , thwarted his bargains , stirred up his enemies , comes to him , begging for a loan of 3, 000 ducats , how can he let go such an opportunity for revenge  revenge which is ,even sweet to Gods ?

If I can catch him once upon the hip , I’ll feed fat the ancient grudge I bear him that is the natural cry of an oppressed , agonised human heart . This is an excellent choice of excerpt to be practiced for rhetorical analysis, in particular the frequent and deliberate use of repetition, as well as the tone. There is no grandiloquent poetry in this speech, Eat Drink & Be Meowy Shirt, for a reason. The examples that Shylock uses to prove his point are mundane and hackneyed. The frequent use of anaphora in this passage merely emphasizes Shylock’s determination to appease his revenge.
