I only use the Eat Sleep Anime Repeat Shirt about a dozen or so times a year, therefore I am certain it is different for others. Yesterday I travelled from Kings Cross to Sunderland first class, for fifty pounds, comfortable, on time and clean. Seems excellent value to me. But my relatives in Essex who have to commute to London see it very differently. And three per cent of thousands of pounds is a significant cost, three pet cent on fifty quid is not noticeable.

The Tories have a very long track record of looking after the wealthy and keeping the ‘peasants’ in poverty. We will soon be back to how it used to be with only the rich being able to afford holidays abroad, traveling by train, eating healthy foods, drinking alcohol, having decent housing and being able to afford health care. Maybe they are aiming to have the poor going back to using a horse and cart to get around in.

How dare we expect to be able to afford to travel by train or by car, with the cost of fuel and insurance etc. Even owning a car is beyond some, especially now that they want to scrap the older diesel cars! Of course it’s the poor who are affected by these things the most, I certainly can’t afford to buy a new car and I work full time in the NHS! I could not afford to travel by train either so best I buy a horse and cart as I won’t be able to afford fuel for the car at the rate it’s going up.

Back in the 60’s my mum shopped using her, (reusable) shopping bag. It wasnt made from plastic, it would have been heavy cloth. Fresh vegetables were not pre-packed in plastic. If they were packaged by the seller it would have been in brown paper bags, (recyclable or in her case as there was no recycling then, biodegradable). Drink and milk containers were all glass and were returned or collected. We dont seem to have progressed in caring for our environment.

Christian Heinz what we believe gets recycled and what actually does get recycled is apparently quite different. I’ve been reading a lot of articles that say plastic is not being recycled much at all. I’m so shocked by this, completely taken by surprise. I always thought plastic was recyclable – I still can’t believe this. Why aren’t governments taking action?? I dread to think of the poor animals and sealife affected by this.

Blind consumerism being endlessly fed on a diet of lies that this drink and that one are perfect for you! We’re choking our environment and oceans to death by our own stupid hands people. Is this the Eat Sleep Anime Repeat Shirt legacy our children and theirs deserve? There is an entire industry built up off the East coast of Canada picking up and recycling plastics dumped by the United States into the Atlantic and carried by the Gulf Stream.
