Can we classify talking about the Kardashians as a disorder, then? Absolutely. I will never date or get involved with anyone who plays video games ever again. It’s a sad thing to watch. But think men who think their women trapped in a man’s body is normal…. What about people who binge watch television? Can this be applied to any recreational activity done in excess? It is only an addiction when it adversely affects your life. Play on gamers, play on.

And I really should only have to say three words, “your smart phone.” Carry on.  So gaming is a disorder…. Just a sad statement. People can be passionate about things they like doing, so if we follow the gaming disorder logic then fishing is a disorder, golfing, football, movies, TV, biking, and so on. It’s a different generation, get over it. shut up….

I gamed hardcore for 30 years and then just gave it up becuase it all got a bit boring… or maybe i became an adult….still nada wrong with moi.. besides a little bipolar which i can’t blame on gaming.The bbc is a disorder.. and that’s a real fact.

Any addiction or extreme behaviour is a problem. Playing games is not inherently wrong anymore than having a drink, buying a lottery ticket or watching TV. Gaming addiction is a sign of a bigger issue (such as severe depression). This is just a band-aid and it doesn’t get to the real root of the problem.

I’ve been addicted to gaming for well over a decade. I’ll play for hours on end. It’s an addiction because I feel a compulsion to play out of habit rather than necessity.
