They will be crushed if they do. They currently have a plan, and it will be executed in a manner that makes Pence the hero that saved the country. We’ve said this numerous times. But it’s irrelevant because it requires a judicial system or Congress that’s willing to hold him accountable. This whole presidency is and always has been about the oil money. No one in the administration ever expected the cock holster to last a year in office.

 

The whole point of the exercise was to get Tillerson and a few other key individuals so that barriers could be removed allowing trillions of dollars of Russian oil to flow. Trump will be impeached and receive billions in compensation. Pence will continue on as President, the GOP will attempt to save their reputation in time for the mid terms and probably even do reasonably well in the next election.

Intense red state gerrymandering means most GOP seats are fairly safe. Beyond that, their base hasn’t waivered; recent polls have suggested if the election were held again, the 45 might win the popular vote, not just the electoral college. The base eat this fight with the press up, they believe the $#!7 that comes out of Trump’s mouth… and love his combative tweets. 

 

I’d like to believe these people will wake up to the corruption and destruction 45 and the GOP are wreaking, but the evidence thus far suggests otherwise. The Dems need a compelling narrative other than opposition and “we’re better than the other guys”, but they didn’t offer one in 2016, and still haven’t found one. And it may have been a strategy all along. Pence is a favourite of a very ambitious group within the GOP.

 

My partner was on a rant yesterday about Mark Hamill mocking Trump – the rant was because Trump had deleted thetweets Luke was mocking. I thought both POTUS and Trump’s tweets weren’t supposed to be deleted?  That the whole GOP hasn’t come out against his batshit insanity makes it pretty clear that the unfittness to lead and lust for control runs deeper than the buffoon at the head.
