Given that Christmas wasn’t even a Christian holiday it was Pagan? Christians adopted the celebration of the winter solstice from pagans. From what I’ve heard for a very long time now is that Jesus was actually supposedly born in the summer. So really, it’s become anti-pagan. Also leaving aside the origins, and original purpose of Christmas it’s pretty much expanded well beyond that. These days it’s more of a general western, one might even say secular, annual tradition.

If it’s about Christ to you then fair enough, but it’s not to the rest of us :). For me it’s about being a grumpy old cruge. These traditions predate your religion.
