I walked over to him, knelt down to his level, and calmly said “You wouldn’t want me to do that to you. Do you understand?” He said yes, and hasn’t been violent in my presence since.  by (respectful) example & have never had an issue getting children to behave – even during my daycare provider years (caring for over 60 little humans with VERY different personalities throughout those years). I’m sorry for them because (as ANY daycare provider, or good teacher can tell you) it’s absolutely unnecessary to raise a great human being.  Yes, I should have written “for the corporate office” as I only worked “in office” from 2008-2010. Still not as bad as your grammatical error, but you make a good point.  Honestly, anyone who thinks working from a home office for 7yrs is somehow a failure probably got smacked upside their head one too many times by a misguided parent who thought they were doing what was necessary.

Once again you are putting words into my mouth I’ve worked from home for three times longer than you have like I said you are just a raving lunatic who is jumping from one erratic statement to the next making no sense whatsoever and coming to conclusions formed in your own brain which are not focused on reality at all.  I make sense to sensible people, so your assessment says more about you than me. Any advice on how to do this with a nearly teenager who has been spoken to calmly on numerous occasions, decisions have been explained so she knows why we think what we do (mostly for her benefit, like why phones are charged downstairs at night following evidence of her messing with it after lights out and then not being able to get up for school!) and all we get is confrontation, stroppyness, I Get My Attitude From The Men I Am Related Shirt, sneakiness and lies.
