My wife had a cat before we began dating… I was still in the military at the time when she asked if would take her cat to the vet. “Don’t let her see the crate!”, she cooed as she left for work. I completed the task mind you, but I arrived at the vet scratched, well bitten and bloodied.

The cat, “Pepe” has been long since passed, and we still giggle about her escapades. The trip to the vet is definitely a favorite. Man, both of my kittens love the cat carrier. I leave it open on the floor and they go in and out as they please. They even sleep in it.

And all without any kind of training or effort on my part. My cats dont mind it. I set them out and open a few days before and they play in them and sleep. So they get used to em before going in. I set my carrier out on the floor the night before I have to take them somewhere, they get inside by themselves, but if I have to force them…. this is them.

The carrier is in the garage. Luna hears me get it and goes deep under the bed. So I got smart. Turned up some music. Get carrier and get cat. Luna got smarter. Music gets turned up she goes deep under the bed.  our cat did just that yesterday when we took her to the vets for her booster….now she keeps giving me dirty looks.

When we got her there she then wouldn’t one out of it!! He eventually tipped the box upside down and she was hanging onto the sides with her claws out …and nightmare!!!  This is exactly why we have to use extreme subterfuge when trying to get our cats in to their boxes.

Cannot let them see the boxes in advance or they disappear over the horizon and no amount of treats will bring them back! We have had to take them to their holiday home days early as any sign of a suitcase appearing freaks them out…..costs a fortune for additional nights of accommodation for them, on top of paying for our ownIf You Haven’t Risked Coming Home Under A Flag ,Don’t You Dare Disrecspect It Shirt!
