People miss the point of Christmas obviously,it’s not about decorating trees and bying gifts and consumerism in general but what to speak of it the establishment became Antichristian long ago.If the people argue about the decoration of a tree when they should celebrate the birth of Christ they better not celebrate anything. It’s about the wonder of divine grace, and a beautiful tree helps with that feeling.

Given that Christmas wasn’t even a Christian holiday it was Pagan? Christians adopted the celebration of the winter solstice from pagans. From what I’ve heard for a very long time now is that Jesus was actually supposedly born in the summer. So really, it’s become anti-pagan. Also leaving aside the origins, and original purpose of Christmas it’s pretty much expanded well beyond that. These days it’s more of a general western, one might even say secular, annual tradition.

If it’s about Christ to you then fair enough, but it’s not to the rest of us :). For me it’s about being a grumpy old cruge. These traditions predate your religion. Just do your thing and let other people do theirs. Oh well thanks for spelling that out. No one knew what Christmas was really about. But take a minute to wonder why people don’t follow Christianity any more. How about you let people celebrate what they want to, how they want to, and you do the same.

Things can mean different things to different people. But Christmas has always been about the birth of Christ. Hence the name Christmas. They decided to hold it on the same holiday as the winter solstice. And when they did so adopted many of the best traditions from it. The symbolism of bringing light into a dark world is perfect. But, it’s supposed to be about giving, and looking after one another and so many other wonderful things.

Agreed. People are so obsessed about Christmas trees, santa, decorations that they forget that Christmas is about celebrating the Greatest gift that God has given us and that Husband Daddy Protector Hero Shirt is Christ his only son.
