I said thankyou but i’m a mama i can do many things but be a dad ,and i tell women who say they are mom and dad no you are a woman who does the job of two but you can’t teach your daughter the male perspective and you can’t teach your son how to be a man ,your daughter needs her dad to teach her how a man treats her so she knows.

She’s worthy of a good man ,not a man who will just leave or a man who is just there ,a son needs a different set of priorities,my son had my dad until he died ,but now my son has two great role models and the last two he’s lived with them because i can’t teach him to be a man after all the yrs of anger he held and trouble.

He faces he has finally come to be whom i prayed would be ,he visits me every two weeks ,but my love for my son sees i gave him tools to who he is now but they have brought to him what it is to be a man. Something not his father could do or i as a woman could do ,i am a mama who raised two children alone but that doesn’t make me a dad or the right to celebrate father’s day ,i say i’m a mama who kept the door open for my daughters father and my sons father and both missed out on my treasures.

My daughters father died when she was young but he missed a lot just the same ,my sons father still playing the blame game. However my son at 17 said that he realized all he ever thought was true was not that i tried for his father to step up but he didn’t that i never said a bad word against his father and took his anger and rage in order not to destroy him ,and he knows now his father never tried ,father’s day is not for single mamas or deadbeat fathers.

Father’s day is for dads who stepped up and became the hero in their children’s lives because that’s the men they were. Unless you have been a single parent you will never understand.
