They promised $450 to every person with a claim in that area and have been unable to honor their promise. Not because people didn’t donate more than enough money, but because their “system crashed.”

Houston’s mayor was quoted as saying, “if you promise immediate help to people, you better be able to deliver.” Red Cross was the charity we were told to send donations to. They are the largest charity to help in these catastrophic situations and they can’t handle the volume of need in Houston. There have been two more hurricanes since Houston.
