The music she sang early in her career was fantasy teenage love about fairy tale whirlwind romance. That’s what love feels like at 15-19 but by 27-30 relationships are complicated and messy. As fans we must understand and cheer her on in the next chapter of her life which means more adult topics and harshness. Personally as a fan I don’t want to listen to songs like Love Story at 29. I don’t relate at all to that but I do relate to the mundane task of clean up on New Year’s Day with my guy or the rush of intimacy.

She’s grown up and that’s a good thing. Melanie Nicole I’ll agree some of the lyrics are mediocre and not at all what she usually writes like but there are also tracks that are lyrically good. They are no worse than any other pop star out there right now. Personally I don’t agree with the 4 tracks she released before the album because they didn’t do it any justice. They were more like statement tracks than the best tracks on the album.

The iTunes became available and I listened to it on loop 3 times to give it a fair trial and honestly by the end I called my cousin like “yeah don’t get me this save your money”. I hate it and I hate that every few years I got something new and fab from Taylor and this was the newest album and I hated it.

I’ve been her fan since I was 14 now I’m nearly 23 maybe I have just gone off her style but honestly my dad put it right when he said “This album all just sounds kinda the same”. I dunno. Good work on the album as so many people do seem to like it I can just honestly say I really don’t.

I stand by my comment of me missing her country music but this album isn’t as bad as I thought. I like in new years when she says ” please don’t.. Dada Dada. ” and in enchanted she has that similar line “please don’t be in love with some one else”. I liked the shadowing she did there.

I heard music and although it’s a bit darker than I’m used to from her The Incredible Pickle Man Shirt I’m into it sure. Ready for It? Meh. Catchy sure but not loving it. Gorgeous? Liked it, catchy and smart. Call it what you want – maybe the only gem on the album that’s actually close to what I like to see from her. I was so sure I’d like the album that I pre ordered the iTunes one for my phone and asked my cousin to buy me a CD for my car for my birthday.
