Not only did he play and spend most of his spare time with his children, but all of the children in the neighborhood. He was the piped piper, and we children were lucky he was ours! Every other children’s book is something for girls or about a girl. The rest are pretty genderless. Very few are specifically targeted to boys and even those are only tangentially so.
