Obviously Iris won’t die (even though she does in the comics), but someone will take her place. Either Wally or Joe (very likely Joe). Joe’s awesome! But if this keeps on the trend in killing off parental figures (like other shows and films), Joe will sacrifice himself for Iris. I feel Barry will betray the group by simply screwing with the timeline again which will probably lead to Wally being stuck inside the speed force (a fate worse than death). Actions always have consequences after all.

Yeah that’s too likely to happen and maybe then people will have more to blame Barry for, he has already screwed everything and his character keeps getting blamed for everything that’s happening. Flashpoint is different from this because he’s not messing with the past and changing an already set timeline. He’s trying to stop one possible future from happening. So Everyone should technically be safe until the moment when Iris is supposed to die. In trying to change the future maybe someone else will die in Iris’s place.

Because it’s not the past it has not effect on the future. A lot of fans liked Barry and Patty actually. And there was nothing cringy or annoying about her at all. That’s the thing I’ve never heard any other fan say. So sick of iris. The reason why she kept hanging around at star labs was because of her news/journalism background. And they’re not even showing that anymore. She’s contributed nothing to the storyline. Barry’s ass was still leaving to save his family even after iris shared her feelings with him.

And her relationship with Eddie was only to bring light to the fact that he was related to the fake Harrison wells(-aka eobard thawne). I think I would have felt differently if they gave her a better story to go with her strengths. Candice is an independent women who doesn’t necessarily bring iris west to life because she’s not that good with the “I’m all about the guy I’m with in a relationship.” Candice is a strong woman who goes around in interviews saying that iris is more than than what she gets from Barry.

But I don’t see it. Will Barry suffer a fate worse than death and become lost in the Speed Force for maybe half a season. Wally West becomes the main Flash for a time and arguably does a better job than Barry Allen. Season ends with Bart Allen showing up? Is that too much wishful thinking for a comic book show?
