They don’t need a safe place.  I adjust my children’s straps on their seats, but their coats stay on just like mine and they are very secure. You decide what’s best for you and yours. You have to use wisdom. More children are ejected from car seats because the seat itself is improperly installed or the child is not strapped in properly.

They are telling you what could/may/possibly happen. I live in atlanta, thousands of car wrecks a year. Not one report of this being the cause when a child is ejected. Stop being so skittish when it comes to some things. My kids wear a lite sweater in their car seats. Heavy coats come off. Straps are adjusted accordingly. I won’t ever buckle my kids in with their winter jackets on.  I take the coats off when we get in the car.

I saw this on the today show a couple of years ago. Even if you tighten the straps, it’s still dangerous if you were in an accident. Take off the jacket and the buckle them in, the straps are still pretty loose.  I’m so glad i had seen this recently. I had 2 children and had never heard that coats shouldn’t be worn while in car seat. I no longer do it but i still feel like a horrible mother 🙁 but why doesn’t anyone inform parents about this?

Especially the new ones? Are we going to wait until a child dies from wearing a coat in a carseat before anyone says anything? We hear about how children should be properly strapped in but why isnt the coat thing mentioned? I never heard of it until this fall. I have a question what if you have a wreck and its cold and snowing and both parents are knock out the car has no heat so your child will be cold cause not coat on?

She should’ve been going to counseling not prison. That is called self defense but i guess because she’s a colored girl she can’t defend herself. What if that was y’all family member? Would she be sentenced for life as well? She should’ve been deemed a hero for getting rid of the trash the judicial system would’ve never done. Not only did she do it to save her life, but also others he was hurting. There is never just 1 victim for these monsters. This is a sick society we live in when someone who has been used and abused her entire life gets life in prison because she saw an opportunity to free herself.

What she did was wrong, she did kill someone, but she had reason to do so. She should have gotten treatment for the abuse she suffered and endured and if she had to serve time, it should have been limited and given probation as long as she continued her treatment. Hate to say it folks but prayers aren’t going to get anywhere. Although they are well intentioned. My suggestion is to contact her senator and or representative. I’m currently living in an area where the sex traffic is close to the highest in the nation. We are making Jeep Sweater Christmas Oh What Fun It Is To Ride Sweater for the amount of missing women.
