There is so many studies about this, you can easily look for them, but the first thing that any child needs is love, love and love, and then all the emotional and socials skills that child will/can learn on the way, from grandparents, parents, neighbors , teachers, friends..

It’s like any other life growing. This is very discriminatory also in the way, what if father is emotionally disabled, what in that case? Kids need the environment, planet earth and healthy society to grow.. And people who can help them to grow the most, doesn’t have to be their parents.

Omg “not to diminish the role of mothers”….come on. It’s common sense that both parents need to be actively involved. But there is no denying the bond between a mom and daughter. Girls need parents who are loving and supportive. Period. Ideally, having both parents would be a benefit, but not necessary.
