A vast majority of cops are good, but that same vast majority knows the one that are bad and say nothing. The police unions protect and do more for the bad cops then the good ones. Because of that, it puts all law enforcement in question. Until they truly start policing their own, the general Just Who It Shirt of law enforcement will continue to grow. There has always been mistrust from people of color because of the history in this country.

Now that mistrust is crossing color lines. They also need to do a better job of vetting recruits. The fbi warned in the 90’s that white supremacists had infiltrated law enforcement but it fell on deaf ears. Now some of those white supremacist are in positions of power as captains and commanders and dictate how policing is done.  Sad when you fear those who are hired to serve and protect.

What a decent, kind, well raised officer to have so much compassion for this young man. Most officers are decent, it’s the few who spoil it for the rest. The fact of the matter and quite contrary to anyone’s opinion, this officer is right. The pointing of fingers and one-upping isn’t fixing anything. What will fix it is what you choose to do everyday. How you choose to think, react, speak, and treat each other.

What’s honorable are those that don’t forget, but learn together how we can make each day a little better for each of us. All anyone wants is safety, love, and respect. Starts with one!  I’ve done the same… Told them i’ll write you a warning ticket this time… Put it in your visor, look up at it occasionally, remember this officer only wanted you to be safe while driving and not incur a huge court fee for your indiscretion.

It’s more than just cops, it’s the entire system that is set up to disenfranchise and oppress black people. It’s set up to where black people end up being executed by cops for having a gun with a ccw license while white men have no problems having a gun and can shoot up in schools. It’s set up to where black people get harsher sentences (if they manage to avoid execution by cop) for similar crimes whites commit. It’s set up to where calling a cop for help will get a black person killed.

I don’t know if this scenario is true……but it certainly smacks home…..here is the truth! Most officers are decent men and women, they serve honorably day in and day out, but there are others as well…..these officers are from that group that hate people that are different than themselves, and they bring that to their job. It is this group of officers that are the problem……they must be weeded out and removed. There is no place as a police officer that hates the people they are supposed to serve. That officer did what really Just Who It Shirt to be done to save the young mans life and god only knows how many other lifes .
