I was at the concert where she said that and she said, loud and clear, vote for who you want, I’m just telling you who I like, as long as you get out and vote. Stop saying things based on what you’ve heard from others. one of the greatest democratic ideals is the right to free speech.

As an American, I would like to point out how egocentric and asinine it is to think that principle only applies to Americans. We can disagree and still respect each other as human beings. It’s important, if we want to make any kind of positive change, that we be willing to listen to other people and consider (not necessarily adopt) their perspectives and opinions.

I heard you told fans at your concert not to vote for Trump. Adele, this IS a free country and we can vote for whoever we want!! You’re not even an American citizen, and can’t even vote in our election. Let’s just see how many fans you lose.  I see your point. But the reason I don’t like celebrities voicing their political views is two-fold.

First, they are often ill informed. Many of them do not understand how the real world works and have some real ding dong ideas that, were they implemented, either wouldn’t work or would have detrimental effects on the economy. I have, actually, known a couple of celebrities and believe me, they’re too dumb to run a bake sale let alone offer political views.

Second, we have too many My Life Is An Rpg Shirt who make political decisions based on what their favorite stars think. I don’t think the Kardashians are the wisest source of information. You exist for my entertainment. Some of you are great eye candy. Some of you can deliver a line with such conviction that you bring tears to my eyes. Some of you can scare the crap out of me. Others make me laugh. But you all have one thing in common, you only have a place in my world to entertain me. That’s it.
