Dear joy, rules are to be moved about as needed. Read some of the old laws on the books in history. Remember when the world was thought to be flat. I believe in freedom of the parents deciding what is best for their children. These parents could have lied and said that the children were I’ll, they didn’t they stood by their convictions and made a family decision . They are facing the end result as I family.

So what!!!! Good for them!!!! Happy travels. My schools always had a policy that it was ok to take a family vacation, but one must keep up their homework and/or report on it. If a parent couldn’t get vacation during time when school was out, and/or child 1 haad a certain school vacation time and child 2 had a different time.

It wouldn’t work. What if a grandt was dying during the school year? My brothers and I always learned during those family times. My parents always cleared it with school officials, so they weren’t above the rules. My parents would never call school officials and feign illnesses either.

That is a good parent. The schools are over zealous in trying to control good parents. I was hospitalized and travelled a lot with my parents as a child. I graduated with a 3.8 grade average.
