What I like about this video is that the band are actually playing live. Fantastic performance as always from Janice Johnnson and Hazel Payne fronting on guitars. Shame they never had more hits.  plus their fashion – the skirts, esp the hems , we see this now as a trend= deconstructive hems etc. all the rage and here is the genesis. I was just starting to play bass back then. I felt so good when I learned Janice’s bassline note for note and sang it too. Good times. Almost 40 yrs on and still fantastic, all around from the singing, to the instrumental part!

My baby was born Sept 7 1978. She would more her head when she heard this song. I knew it was her song.  I saw them with the Commodores and Confunction back in the day. Still one of my favorite songs!  I made that Jack Skellington doll for my son about six years ago. It was a labor of love. Someone asked me to make one for them and I said you don’t have enough money to pay me to make that again.  Women friends are the best and their friendship is the strongest and most lasting. We named our relaxation group The Yayas. We have certainly lived up to the name. I have heard of Baba Yayas in Thailand and Malaysia.. (And it does refer to the women..) Wow, how cool.  i dream of somewhere to belong to these are the ways im drawn to..although i do not know much i wish i had those to teach me these feeling i feel inside sisters to understand to help me unstanstand …i do not know why im drawn to write this all i know is im tired of feel lost and alone im scared to post this but something inside tells me to do so that its time to learn why n figure out myself ..i write this in hopes i do not disrespect anyone i just want some help and to help xoxo- misti jade.

So very true…this year whilst my father was battling a terminal illness i would just about daily find a feather in obscure places in front of me…was sure it was my Mum telling me she was with me…he’s been gone for 8 weeks now and not one feather..I started collecting them when it was happening. All Men Are Created Equal But Only The Best Are Born In October Shirt. I started finding Feathers after my Dad Passed away got many Beautiful Feathers. Psalm 91:4. So beautiful when they send us feathers also remember butterflies are sent as messengers too.
