Maybe just a cheap smaller hose would work. Merry Cthulhumas Shirt In all honestly if someone is spending nearly $200 on a hose winder one should assume they have a nicer hose.After spending nearly all day to get it up, it took 2 people hold the hose so it doesn’t overlap around the center rod while the other one winds. Also our 100 ft hose wasn’t able to wind all the way up. I love your page but this product was a disappointment for us. Tomorrow we have to remove it Thanks Ashley! I know Liberty makes less expensive reels but I didn’t see that any of them have the hose guide on the front.

For some reason I guess that adds a significant cost to the reel. If you have time you should check out the Eley hose reel. It feels really solid. It’s also really expensive but you might like it. We bought ours for $150 off amazon. Sorry you had a bad experience! Hope you figure out a good solution!  Did you watch our video? I talked about how I was also disappointed it didn’t come with hardware. For that much money you would expect it to. I was also concerned it wouldn’t hold as much hose at the Eley Hose Reel I reviewed earlier.

For certain applications the Liberty hose reel works and that’s why we installed it at Aaron’s parents house because it works great for them. I’m still using the Eley hose reel at home because I can fit more hose on it.  I did watch the whole video so I knew it didn’t come with the hardware but I assumed they gave some recommendations on what to use in some instructions. In no way do I blame you I love your page! For spending that much money I really expected a better product I’ll look up the Eley one. We just replaced our outside lights and the liberty reel matched so nicely.

I’m thinking it’s going to be perfect but it really isn’t. Now we get to take it all down and fill the holes Also I used the link provided when I purchased but when I just searched Amazon I found that Liberty makes 4 reels all very similar the only difference is noticed is some being an inch or so wider but the other 3 were nearly $100 cheaper than the one linked. My fault I should have researched more. I have one similar to this, not as fancy, but not necessary as it is inside my garage, and under $100, but I do really like it, makes handling ahose so much easier for a senior in her 80’s!

I have two of them, similar to this, but neither held up. On the left side where the hose goes in, around the brass connection, it sprays water out everywhere. This problem is not related to the hose, it is in the brass fitting itself. Both are doing the same thing. It is not in the hose or hose connection. The hose washer is fine. It is in the Liberty reel connection, which does not come apart that I can tell. For those who have a brick home, don’t be deterred by the brick! Drilling into brick is not hard, you just need a power drill (preferably a corded one, not cordless) a masonry drill bit.

Would have to YouTube how to install …. the install on the video is not what would happen at my house . I imagine trying to install and weight of reel ripping The siding off the house. Very cool but can I ask you a question on behalf of my 85-year-old mother-in-law does it really retract that easily I notice it when side to side to roll up the hose. Most don’t actually hold up in this function.
