I wish i could have enjoyed my grandmother well, i also had a lot of sense of humor, unfortunately now suffer from alzheimer’s and i hardly remember who it is … I like to watch your videos because they make me feel how wonderful our grandparents are. I always told my children i will always have my eyes on them. Well, many years later, my son, michael, who has many tatoos, took a pic of my eye. He had my eye done a neck piece. So, in reality, i will always have my eye on him .  I’m still alive but my daughter is struggling with health issues and she decided to get her father and my signature to keep a part of us with her at all times and i’m very honored.

When my daughter tells me she didn’t do it right or that she failed. She’s 5 by the way. I tell her fail stands for first attempt in learning. You are learning. And mistakes are often made until you feel you’ve done it to the best of your ability. Then she hugs me telling me thanks. Not in this house so if they don’t nag they get good consequences that gets them a two four or five or 10 minute game misconduct into the penalty box they go.

Al & i give him a penalty box rather than a timeout a stool. Taking out something that means the would to him meant more than a stool. I dont agree. I know that no matter what i do, my mom will always find something to be unhappy about in me. My kids know that no matter what they do, i’m proud. To me, thats success.. I don’t think so, i allow and want my children who are now adults to make their own decisions without others interfering in their lives.

I do not boss them and seldom tell them what to do unless they ask or i can be helpful in some way. I as a mother of adults have stepped out of the way so they can lead their own way and this is what a parent of adult children should do. If they need me or they want my assistance i will be there as much as i can and i love getting to spend any and all time they allow but i don’t want it to be forced nor controlled.

Nor do i want to be held back by others. They deserve freedom to do as they please as our constitution allows and demands their lives to be.  I think “nagging” today is what people called parenting back when i was a kid. Lol these days there are far too many people trying to be their kids friend. We don’t need to be their Mike Tyson Merry Chrithmith Shirt right now. They have plenty of friends, but they only have 2 parents!
