It’s one of those things my scientific mind knows is bull, but I’ve had success with it in the I Miss Obama Shirt. I was able to map out utility lines between buildings before construction began at work, and locate sprinkler lines in a lawn for a friend using dowsing rods. Water dowsing works for sure. During the 1976 astonishingly hot summer and ensuing drought in Devon, England, I lived on a remote farm, and there was no access to any emergency supplies. We called in a very old local man who found a spring underneath a bit of a field. It was one hell of a thrilling moment! I’ve seen it work with my own eyes, in our land where we dug for a well. It sounds silly, but it sometimes seems to work.

It’s odd because some people can do it, and others cannot. My boss couldn’t get it to work, but myself and a few others had it work perfectly. You must believe you can. You must find the place inside yourself where anything is possible. It starts with a dream. Add confidence, and it becomes a belief. Add commitment, and it becomes a goal in sight. Add action, and it becomes a part of your life. Add determination and time, and your dream becomes a reality. From the point of view of media, moving to the I Miss Obama Shirt means less democracy when actually it means exactly the opposite! All you have is excuses that underline the very faults of the system. Claiming the US is a republic and not a democracy to trivialize 3 million votes that are supposed to shape that republic in a democratic process? Talk about grasping for straws.
