To accuse any group of behaving like Nazis is just lazy. If it’s true, maybe it has something to do with men being able to treat women any old way they felt like for MILLIONS of years, but it’s only been considered okay for women to make remarks about men’s looks for only about 50 years or so. There is a double standard. I’m not talking about remarking that a man is handsome or a Be Nice to Dogs Shirt is beautiful.

I’m talking about objectification to the point where a Be Nice to Dogs Shirt being is reduced to his or her body parts. And yes, there is very much a double standard. Women can and do get away with reducing a man down to his body parts, but men get called to the carpet when they do this to women.

I’m not saying that either is right. If it’s wrong for men to objectify women, it’s wrong for women to objectify men. I’ve left fan groups because i was tired of women old enough to be my mother having reduced Aidan Turner down to a Be Nice to Dogs Shirt and nothing more. the double standard is part of the changing tides. for decades advertising has portrayed men/husbands as buffoons who can’t take care of themselves.
