him be home more than others; so we had his presence a lot when we were kids. Thank you, god, for that — he was a great dad. Lost him too soon.  I’m a norwegian ’73 model. My dad was a diy enthusiast, a photographer, a moonshine maker (yes i learned a lot about alcohol, and how to serve it, still know how to set a table for a 5 course meal),he was always reading, and encouraged me to do the same.

He would help me with homework, teach me about stars and science, chemistry, how things were done in the old days. Best of all, he taught me how to learn. And i don’t know anyone who only saw their father for 5 minutes a day. Dinner takes longer, for starters….
