PLEASE Please, Its Okey If You Dont Love Real Madrid Not Everyone Has Football Knowledge Shirt on behalf of the entire poultry industry do your research! Well, we were always taught to FATTEN your livestock up with corn for a higher market value. And fyi, corn is not a natural staple for any animal….their stomachs aren’t made for it. Not entirely true… Yolk colour changes with the diet yes, but usually farms use coloring in the diet (like bell pepper or similar) to achieve a darker yolk. Why? Because people think dark yolks mean good qualitiy and healthy chicken. If you eat organic eggs, you know the chicken are healthy and have a good diet.

But their yolk is mostly yellow.. true ! could always see that on the markets, even the sellers say that most of the chickens are treated with growth hormones and anti biotics. and the final results of this procedure are orange yolks. Commercial egg facilities have very stringent safety and sanitation rules and might actually produce an egg that is likely more safe. I’m no expert though, I don’t think this article is a very good one as I don’t believe the color of yolk tells whether a chicken was “healthy” or not.

Just remember to always take the squigglies out of your eggs before using them! I have purchased several store brands of eggs. I noticed that the egg white of all that I open is thick and slimy — not like any of the eggs that were opened in this article. I find this very interesting. Thanks for posting Ashton. What would we do without you. You research so much!!!!! Keep it up. it may be possible, for some people to tell the difference in taste. but there was no real data on nutritional quality offered. The color difference in the yolk is simply a matter of the color of the food the chickens eat.

Eggs from free range hens taste a whole lot better than hens from factory farms. It’s because of the difference in diet and quality of life. No different than how beef tastes due to being grass fed or grain fed. Hey folks, so glad to see so much discussion about this as it must mean we are thinking about what we are eating and what our food is eating. I’m also loving that so many farmers are taking part in the discussion and sharing of info. Yelow, from the middle, chicken from the farm.Eat ewerything from the ground in the farm, corn, salad…

Orange egg is fabric egg 100% I saw that.Do you ewer bay jellow egg in the store? The color of the yolk says nothing about how healthy an egg is, the color depends solely on what the hen has eaten. It can easily be manipulated with astaxanthin, just like salmon. Nobody wants a pale salmon so they give them astaxanthin so you can have your deep orange salmon. People needs to start reading books and not blogs… I buy fresh eggs from a farmer that only gives feed in the winter, and it’s non gmo. In the summer, the yolks are dark orange, and in winter they are lighter, but not yellow.

Taste so much better too. Its Okey If You Dont Love Real Madrid Not Everyone Has Football Knowledge Shirt I’m spoiled. If you’ve eaten farm eggs, you know exactly what colour means what. And the shell colour is based on the type/breed of chicken. We had some that had blue/green shells, aswell as white, brown, beige. I have heard that factory farmers give their chickens food which will dye the yolks a darker colour to make them appear healthier. Has anyone else heard that as well? Money makes the world go ’round! That’s why it’s so much more expensive to buy pastured chicken eggs at the store.
