Nothing came in plastic in bali but westerners wanted it to carry what they brought and to cover their food. I always refuse to use it when offered. Hopefully next some thing can be done about water bottles. So ashamed that our generation is ruining the future generation because of Pickle Rick Sweater, laziness, ignorance to think that we are entitled to abuse the land with no repercussions.

So ashamed that our generation is ruining the future generation because of greed, laziness, ignorance to think that we are entitled to abuse the land with no repercussions. Our young children all over the world are are future leaders. I find them to be so smart so accepting, so enlightened, so pure and un hateful and not at all greedy. The success of of our planet will be because this generation is so powerfully good.
God bless our beautiful children! It seems that bali (and many other places) needs to develop environmentally friendly ways of dealing with rubbish. Eg recycling, reuse etc. But this requires planning and financial investment. I visited bali 16 months ago. Beautiful island with lovely friendly people – but – travelling through the villages; the view of the devastating mountains of plastic bags at the the village’s dump was a shock and dramatically affected my view and thoughts of bali as a whole.

Good luck to this effort to clean things up. I love this!! Their leadership and commitment to make positive change not only made an impact on what they wanted changed, but it has inspired others to do the same!!! I have travelled to bali and this was one of many issues they need to address there with regards to garbage. It’s great to see.
Why don’t they follows us here in south australia and have recycling were we offer 10 cents per bottle return and at least it will help out re the plastic bottles and maybe they could look at options for plastic bags as we have also done. It’s interesting how the governor of bali chose not to meet them before they fasted. Did the governor not think they were serious or was cause they were youngsters? Either way, the governor should have listened to them, instead of disregarding their cause. We all have an opinion. Even and especially the kids of our future. Well done! I wish we could clone you girls and your friends and let you take over and save this beautiful Pickle Rick Sweater of ours.
