I legitimately had to listen to the RED album today just to remind myself of what a truly spectacular songwriter and artist Taylor is. I Am A Pitbull Owner I’m Used To Hearing Crap From People Shirt Every word and note gives breath and life. Even five years after its release it still makes me feel the same! It helped me through one of the most raw years of my life that album when it came out. It truly truly felt like redemption. So for the love of God please bring back the life into your music Taylor. This music factory effort has got me doubtful. And you were never one to make me feel doubtful. Even in the heartbreak of RED I felt endlessly hopeful, liberated and healed.

This pop trash honestly makes me feel dead inside. I love you Taylor but please just start writing for yourself again and not for the public, or the charts, or the critics or any other damn person. Write for yourself! Robert Joseph Calderas Hahaha musicians can evolve. I love the girl, It’s just my personal opinion that this evolution feels more forced and convoluted than organic. Calm your farm mate, each to their own opinion. Sheesh. I personally don’t mind the sound change as long as her songwriting went with it but I totally get where you’re coming from.
I was hopeful with LWYMMD because it had a classic Taylor move with playing the part people paint her like in Blank Space. But this one is just…ehhh. Hopefully the rest of the album is better. Every other album, there’s always one song I just don’t like. I didn’t like 22 or a few other songs too much so I’m just hoping the rest of the album will be better and maybe she just picked the wrong song to be the next single. Kinda agree with this. I’m kinda wondering if that’s her point with this album. The haters hated enough on the old Taylor, that she decided to be everyone else.

I would like to see her hit her country roots again. agree. I felt like LWYMMD was a cliche song. It seems like a lot of singers have to have one of them. I was expecting a little more. I’ll give the rest of the album a fair listen though. It’s weird that she didn’t look at what songs resonated with fans on 1989 and build off that sound. Instead she put her vocals and music into a machine. To me New Romantics and Wildest Dreams were two of her best songs. One is more dance beat oriented but it’s clear and fun.
The other boarders on Lana Del Rey ethereal; making it really beautiful. It’s kind of disappointing to see Taylor abandon sounds that have made her so popular. I personally don’t like her completely as a person; catty, but I’ve liked her sound on Red and 1989. I hope this album is more than what she’s offering now. But you have to remember she has to reinvent herself in order to stay relevant or else people would call her boring and uncreative. This is so embarrassing. It sounds like Cersei Lannister trying to cover Wu Tang Clan.
It just makes me cringe, I Am A Pitbull Owner I’m Used To Hearing Crap From People Shirt like “did no one tell her this is lame?” Modern pop music has gotten even worse through the likes of Katy Perry, Justin Beiber and Taylor Swift, they no longer use instruments but computers, they’re songs are about taking shots at rivals, when was the last time Bieber actually released a solo song without the collaboration with other artists? You are totally ignorant of what it takes to program beats and synths. This is brilliant. So creative. And such a refreshing new turn. She’s being creative. It’s awesome.
