At the moment i am playing both roles of mom and dad. While i try my best, i believe children need their father for guidance in a way that i as a woman and mother cannot give… I applaud all women who are single parents. It takes an awesome woman to raise children alone.

There are also strong men raising their children alone. Given respect to both, a woman can never be a father, any more than a man can be a mother. Totally agree. For years i thought i am strong, i can do this, and all it did was give me a tough exterior in all areas of life and no matter how tough or how well i raise my boys i can never really teach them how to be a man, because i was never and will never be one.

I now embrace being a loving mother who does her best as a single mom to fill the voids, all the while knowing that i cannot take the place of a father. But both my mom and my dad grew up without their fathers. But they also both has awesome grandfathers to help raise them.
