I 100% agree about the I Quit Drinking Yesterday But Tonight I Celebrate My Comeback Shirt Beyonce bashing. I was so happy when I saw this post that “shared” it on my FB wall without even reading it. I was sure I’d agree with everything whole-heartedly since there’s nothing bad to say about Leslie Knope/Amy Poelher. But as soon as I began to read it, I deleted it from my wall. I love Beyonce AND Amy Poelher. They’re both feminist icons in my opinion. I don’t know how one can love one and hate the other frankly. And lady bashing DOES defeat the goal of feminism.

I love this and I love Leslie Knope and Amy Poehler, and I think that ,I Quit Drinking Yesterday But Tonight I Celebrate My Comeback Shirt has certainly been furthered by Parks and Rec, but I’ll take support for feminism in all forms. I don’t think this distrust of Beyonce’s feminist principles is helping anyone’s cause. Let’s get so excited about what Beyonce is doing AND love Leslie Knope. I’m pretty sure that’s what Leslie Knope would want us to do.  I did not watch the VMAs but a woman that allows her husband to refer to her as a Ho and B*(%c is not what I aspire my three daughters to look up to . I think of woman like Jane Goodall , Elizabeth Katy stanton , or even Mrs Cosby.
