Where are their parents and why aren’t they asking questions? If my daughter came to me as a teenager asking for labiaplasty or breast augmentation i would have questions, lots of questions. Parents, please do your job by explaining sex to your kids. My father first explained the intimacy of sex to me and the love a man has and shows towards a woman and vice versa – i was 12.

My mom explained this thing called a cycle at 10 & she reminded me at 11. She did not want me to be afraid + she wanted me to know what to do. When i was 13 my mom picked up where my dad left off but she was much more detailed. She explained an erection, puberty, hair growth, ejaculation, babies, etc. I am so grateful that my parents were so open.

It gave me a healthy view of intimacy, love and sex. I in turn did the same with my kids. My daughter and son were not surprised about the changes and feelings in their bodies.
