To have surgery on a body part that you do not show 99.9999% of the population is crazy. There are some medical specialties that seem to set the bar for ethics pretty low – plastic surgery and fertility clinics being two. What possible medical reason could there be for this? There are women and girls all over the world fighting for the right not to undergo genital mutilation, but it would seem that american girls are lining up for it.

And why would the medical community have to “express concern” – they could just say no. They do it because unfortunately they learn about sex by watching internet porn and think that many humiliating, and often painful to women, sexual practices only pleasing men are just part of normal sex in relationship. I am not a fan of porn, but this is the most ridiculous assumption that i have every read. These girls are not looking at porn to learn about how to have sex or how their labia is supposed to look.
