And hopefully others will be, too, but i’m less hopeful since i have a lot of difficulty explaining entrenched and systemic racism to other white people.  Dove redeems themselves in there next ad when kylie jenner shows up at a spontaneous protest and hands a bottle of dove to blm protestor, who suddenly turns white and I Smell Snow Sweatshirt a cop.   Would it be offensive if the colors were switched?

This is sensationalism and oversensitive people looking too deeply into a clip meant to represent something entirely different. This is so utterly naive and plain stupid…straight out of the ignorance from the 1950’s! Why has colour become such an issue in the last few years when it was no longer an issue when i grew up decades ago. Who is making it such an issue….we are one..always!

As a man i am thoroughly insulted to have them take off one shirt… Just to reveal another shirt! I will be bringing this up at my sexist pigs anonymous meeting.  I suppose they should have changed the order of races so those with the attention span of a goldfish would (maybe) not have this knee-jerk reaction.

But that might be just my optimism and faith in humanity, which is waning.  I love how people are saying they should have put the white girl first and had her turn into the black girl. As if that would have made any difference to people’s opinions on this ad to see what they want to see.

Yes! I’m sure that in this day and age dove meant to portray that black women are dirty and if they just use dove soap they can turn into clean, white women! Really? The ad clearly shows all types of women. Stop turning everything into racism.  I thought the transition from crack ho to supermodel was perpetuating stereotypes but the caitlyn jenner cameo at the end redeemed everything. Nice save, dove!

Most disturbing thing here is how easily things are removed or censored. You just label something “racist” and remove it, so nobody can find it. This ad is great  I Smell Snow Sweatshirt: we can’t see for ourselves if there was any racism or not because some big brother has already decided that we should not see it.
